Miss Missouri Volunteer
Miss Missouri Volunteer is more than a pageant. We strive to empower strong, dynamic young women by investing in their education through scholarships, improving their communication skills, encouraging them to be advocates for charitable causes, and providing them with opportunity-rich experiences that will serve as a catalyst for success. By providing a platform for tomorrow’s leaders, Miss Missouri Volunteer seeks to not only empower young women but better the community and the state of Missouri.

S.E.R.V.E. Initiative - UpStanders: The building blocks of bully-free behavior
In 2020 Avalon founded BRAVE Door 2 Door, socially distanced interaction with their kids and parents where they would read a book and talk about kindness to others. This evolved into the creation of Friendship Fridays, a program to tackle bullying in schools, where it primarily happens. This weekly initiative challenges students to be kind, helpful, and respectful and includes a personal follow-up visit. Avalon’s mission is to work with children across Missouri in an effort to create the next generation of UpStanders - no bystanders by demonstrating in educational settings how easy it is to lead with kindness and commit to a life of bully-free behavior.
