Miss Missouri Volunteer Cares is a statewide initiative rooted in the heart of the Miss Missouri Volunteer program’s mission: service above self. Led by our titleholders and supported by local volunteers, this campaign is dedicated to giving back through hands-on service, advocacy, and community engagement across Missouri. Whether it’s organizing food drives, supporting local shelters, visiting schools, or amplifying local causes, Miss Missouri Volunteer Cares empowers young women to lead with compassion and action. This initiative brings the S.E.R.V.E. values—Service, Education, Responsibility, Volunteerism, and Empowerment—to life in real and meaningful ways, uniting communities through kindness and a shared commitment to making a difference.

National Partners

St. Jude Run/Walk

As an official philanthropic partner, Miss Volunteer America is proud to support St. Jude’s lifesaving mission. At St. Jude, every breakthrough is part of a journey to progress. Small steps, when combined, lead to significant results — more discoveries, more cures, more lives saved.

You can join our Official Miss Missouri Volunteer Walk team in person on Saturday, September 13th or virtually.

Salvation Army

The partnership between Miss Volunteer America and The Salvation Army is a natural fit, as both organizations share a commitment to serving those in need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in our communities.

Join us in making a lasting impact by volunteering as a bell ringer at one of The Salvation Army’s Red Kettles during the holiday season! Your efforts help provide essential services like food for families, support for children, emergency financial aid, and much more. Bell ringing dates will be provided at a later date.

The Miss Missouri Volunteer Program has awarded the Presidential Service Award to contestants and community members.

In 2024, the Miss Missouri Volunteer program had a combined total of 15, 951 hours of volunteer service that were recognized at our pageant in January 2025. According to the Independent Sector, each hour of volunteer service in Missouri is valued at $28.66 (2022 estimate). That put the value of our combined service hours in Missouri at $457,155.

In the absence of this program, we will continue to award the Miss Missouri Volunteer Service Award to those contestants and community members that give to their community.
